Partner & Head of Patent Department

Thanapol Thammapratip focuses his practice on Thai Patent law for the biotechnological, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. His scientific backgrounds, patent practice trainings and more than 6 years of experiences as patent practitioner allows him to counsel clients with respect to patent matters including international and domestic patent prosecution and client counseling e.g. freedom-to-operate analysis and providing patent infringement and validity opinions. He also assists clients in drafting patent specification and claims across a variety of technologies, opposition proceedings and preparing design patent application.

– Working closely with senior patent attorney and patent prosecution staff to ensure proper patent issued
– Reviewing and amending a patent application to meet client’s requirement and Thai Patent Office’s requirement
– Providing technical advice
– Handling and responding to client’s correspondence as appropriate
– Supporting transactional activity regarding technical issues
